ESTONIAN HARD ENDURO CHAMPIONSHIPS
(EVM) AND ESTONIAN CUP (EKV)
REGULATIONS
Hard Enduro is the most difficult category of the endure discipline, which takes
place in difficult conditions and race track does not have to be passable for all
competitors.
The goal of this competition series is to raise the level of local hard enduro riders
with bringing international competitors here to Estonia. All races will be held on
world class tracks. We expect the number of participants to reach 1000 by 2025,
with at least 50% international competitors.
Competitions series is organized by EMF member organizations in collaboration
with EMF Enduro commitee.
1. Categories:
a. GOLD
The best hard enduro riders.
b. SILVER
All national enduro competition class riders from E1, E2, E3 ja E40+.
c. BRONZE
All national enduro competition class riders from Hobby, Junior, Beginners,
Rookie, V50, V60, E W(Women).
Competitor can always participate in higher category, but not in lower.
2. Organization
a. Officials
The event will be supervised by FIM licenced jury.
The following officials will be on site:
- Race organizer
- Person in charge of the organization
- Chief judge
- Head of secretariat
- Secretariat
- Clerc of course
- Technical control
- Head of timekeeping
- Chief medical officer
3. Competition terms
a. Riders licence: Every competitor must have a valid national enduro
licence issued by national motosport federation. One-time licence can be
purchased on side for additional fee (valid only during the race).
b. Starting numbers:
i. Organizer will issue starting numbers for the whole season. Upon
registration, each competitor can mark their preferred staring
number and organizer will take that into account if possible. It is
mandatory to use the provided starting numbers (with logos etc).
Failure to do so, will be penalized by a fine of 100€.
Overall winner of the season can use the #1 starting number for
the next season (no-one else will be allowed to use that number).
ii. Starting number ranges:
1. GOLD – 1-99
2. SILVER – 100-299
3. BRONZE – 300-999
c. Staring fee is no more than 50€ on single day events and no more than
75€ on other events. Riders, who have not pre-registered will have
additional 25€ added to the starting fee.
d. Rules:
i. On race day, the bikes have to be in closed starting area at least 30
min before the race start.
ii. Race will be held in endurance race format with mass start or mass
start by race categories. The duration / lenght of the race will be
decided by each race organizer. Race will end with chequered flag
on the finish line.
iii. Outside assistance is forbidden during the race for all GOLD class
competitors. Assistance for other classes will be decided by the
race organizer. Competitors can help each other except riding other
competitors bike.
iv. Track marshals can assist all riders in the interest of safety or to
prevent blockages.
v. Competitors are not allowed to use radio communication.
vi. The whole race course is marked. Race track can contain difficult
sections designed for different race classes – these will be marked
with class names and separation points will be manned with track
marshals.
vii. Competitor cannot use sections on the track designed for lower
class riders. Comperitor is allowed to use sections designed for
higher class.
viii. Competitors should use only the track. However, if they
accidentally leave the track, they may continue by safely re-
entering the track, without gaining an advantage, from the closest
point to where they left the course.
ix. Track cutting is forbidden. The penalty for attempting to gain an
advantage by track cutting will be from 30 seconds time penalty to
disqualification, at the Jury ́ s discretion.
x. Race organizer will decide if the race will be held as singe day event
or multi day event.
xi. Official race days may be preceded by a prologue.
e. Technical conditions:
i. Each motorcycle participating in the competition must comply with
the competition rules approved by the EMF throughout the
competition and be safe for both the user and fellow competitors.
Race organizer ensures the technical inspection stage of the
competition motorcycle and safety equipment in the competition
instructions.
ii. The cubature and tact of the motorcycle are free for all classes.
iii. Motorcycle does not have to be in the state register or have a valid
traffic insurance as the race takes place outside public roads and
traffic.
4. Other regulations
a. Registration
i. Registration for the competition is done electronically and pre-
registration ends at least 14 days before the start of the
competition. In case of late registration, 13-7 days before the start
of the competition, 50% will be added to the entry fee. In justified
cases, it is possible to change the names of the competitors until
there is a minimum of 2 days until the start.
ii. The registration shall state:
1. Competition category
2. Competitor's first and last name
3. Competitor’s club name
4. Desired starting number
b. Scoring:
i. The competition is based on the principle of endurance racing. The
competitor receives points for each day of the competition. The
winner of a two-day competition will be determined on the basis of
a score where the better place of the last day of the competition
will be decisive for the same number of points.
ii. To get the result, the competitor must cross the finish line at least
once during the competition.
iii. At the end of the season, the points of all races of the season are
added up and the 1 event with the lowest points is ignored. If a
competitor changes the class between races, the points earned in
the last class will not be transferred to another (within the new
class the competitor will start from a so-called clean page). EMV
points earned will remain.
iv. Estonian Championship scoring: competitors are ranked according
to the competition classes (starting from the hardest - Gold, Silver,
Bronze) and the results within the class. The 250 best competitors
will receive EMV points
1. Example: 50 competitors in the Gold class got the result
from the race, 150 in the Silver class, 300 in the Bronze
class. All 50 competitors in the Gold class and all 150 in the
silver plus the first 50 in the Bronze class will receive EMV
points.
v. Club ranking: Calculated on the basis of EMV points. The 5 best
riders of each club will be taken into account.
vi. Estonian Cup scoring (Silver and Bronze classes): competitors are
ranked according to the result in the competition class (class based
scoring).
vii. Scoring system: see annex 1
c. Prize giving
i. In each stage, the three best competitors in each competition class
will be awarded.
ii. The organizer of each stage can add competition classes, increase
the number of winners and issue special prizes and gifts. The best
club will be awarded in the club competition
iii. The competitor, who has won the most points from all races, will
be Estonian Champion in Hard Enduro.
iv. At the end of the season, the three best competitors in Silver /
Bronze classes will be awarded the EKV Cup.
v. From the summary of the season, the best club will be awarded the
traveling cup and the Club Cup, which will remain with the winning
Club.
d. Settlement of disputes and protests
i. Disputes and protests will be submitted in writing to the
secretariat of the competition addressed to the Chief Judge no later
than 15 minutes after the finish of the last participant. Together
with the submission of the protest, a ransom of 100 € will be paid,
which will be returned upon satisfaction of the protest. The protest
will be reviewed by the Chief Judge as soon as possible and a
decision will be made before the award ceremony. A protest that
does not affect the results can be reviewed and a decision made
within a week at the latest. The Chief Judge will inform the
protester at the competition venue.
e. Topics not covered in this document will be addressed using „FIM HARD
ENDURO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP REGULATIONS 2023“.
